The World Series is creating all kinds of interesting scheduling havoc even here in LFK, with various events postponing or re-arranging so that fans can watch the Royals. The City Fathers are meeting earlier than usual tonight to decide whether to close down a block of downtown New Hampshire for TWO YEARS to accommodate another apartment building construction project. The Oread Hotel rescheduled a whiskey tasting (since when can't people watch baseball AND taste whiskey?). And Love Garden shifted Wednesday's Hospital Ships homecoming show to 5:00 in the afternoon, giving scenesters an extra incentive to start drinking PBR earlier than usual.
